As a company we are experiencing tremendous growth and are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Permit Coordinator who will be responsible for preparing and submitting applications to municipalities, maintaining job status reports, and communicating with city officials, subcontractors and construction crews plus more.
Job Duties:
Work with project manager to keep the work in progress up to date
Facilitate and track City and State permits as required
Communicate with customers, other employees, contractors, and sub-contractors
Other tasks may be asked of this employee, such as but not limited to filing paperwork, answering phones, or data entry.
What we are looking for:
Valid driver’s license in MI
Background Check, contingent upon employment
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
Experience in the construction industry is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular)
Must be self-motivated and have the ambition to deliver results
Must be personable and have excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills
Must have the ability to work within a team and independently
Problem solving / creativity and complex thinking
Have "thick skin" and are not easily offended. (this is a construction office with subcontractors coming and going constantly)
