This role involves vital tasks such as parts preparation for machining, overseeing the pickling process, and efficient staging of parts for machinists within our Steel Services Division. SHIFT: Weekend Shift - Friday - Sunday - 5:00am - 5:30pm, including shift differential

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Parts Preparation for Machining:
- Execute essential tasks related to the preparation of parts for machining operations, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications.
- Collaborate closely with the machining team to comprehend project requirements and timelines.
- Conduct inspections to guarantee high-quality standards.
Pickling Process Oversight:
- Take responsibility for the pickling process of customer components, focusing on quality and safety.
- Handle pickling solutions safely, following established protocols.
- Monitor and maintain pickling equipment for optimal performance.
Staging Parts for Machinists:
- Organize and stage parts systematically for machinists, optimizing workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with the production team to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
General Labor Support:
- Assist in various general labor tasks within the Steel Services Division as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support overall divisional goals through flexible and responsive contributions.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to and promote safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions and actively contribute to a safety-conscious culture.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in general labor, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Basic knowledge using torches, handheld grinders, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision in handling tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
