The Machine Preventive Maintenance (PM)Technician here at Atlas Machine & Supply is essential in ensuring the continuous operation of machinery through routine maintenance and preventive tasks. This role helps prevent mechanical failures and maximizes the efficiency and lifespan of equipment. This role is an entry-level position with expectations to grow to Maintenance Tech role as experience progresses.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety: Always follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.- Communication: Work with Managers and Supervisors by providing regular updates and to ensure coordinated repair processes.
- Documentation: Track and document equipment repairs and troubleshooting activities using the company's maintenance software.
- Routine Inspections: Check hydraulic fluids, coolants, and other critical components, topping off as necessary. Track fluid levels and monitor for leaks.
- Fluid and Filter Changes: Perform regular fluid changes and replace filters as required to maintain machine performance.
- Alignment and Condition Checks: Verify the alignment of belts and shafts, adjusting or replacing as needed.
- Lubrication: Grease bearings and fittings to ensure smooth operation.
- Controls Inspection: Identify and document issues with machine controls, such as malfunctioning buttons or burnt-out bulbs.
- Air System Maintenance: Inspect air systems for leaks, and repair issues like broken fittings or faulty pressure gauges.
- Wear & Tear Monitoring: Visually inspect machine components for signs of wear and replace or repair as needed.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Keep machine and work areas clean, free of oil, liquids, and debris. Maintain a well-organized workspace.
- Inventory Management: Ensure shop organization to support maintenance activities.
- Grow: Continuously develop and enhance technical skills through company-provided training and learning opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of tools. Both hand and power.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Able to communicate both in writing and verbally.
- Comply with company attendance expectations.
- Understanding of basic electrical/controls and mechanical.
- Knowledge of servo drive motors Hydraulic systems and Pneumatics, seals, valves, and pumps
- Must be able to work at heights on aero lifts and ladders.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and occasional lifting of up to fifty pounds.

Monday- Friday 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Monday - Thursday 2 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Tuesday - Friday 2 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
