Our Steel Services department specializes in serving the steel industry, with a focus on galvanizing line equipment. Committed to quality, precision, and customer satisfaction, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced, hands-on Steel Services Supervisor to lead our Weekend Shift machining and welding operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring production targets are met while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel fabrication, machining, and team leadership.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and lead a team of machinists and welders during the weekend shift.
- Coordinate and prioritize work orders to meet production schedules and customer deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance productivity and skill development.
- Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve problems.
- Maintain accurate records of production, attendance, and equipment maintenance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a machine shop, fabrication, or steel services environment. Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of machining, welding, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
- Proficiency in operating CNC machining equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
