Chemist

Atlas Magnetics is looking for a Research Chemist to join our team in Reno, Nevada. As a research chemist, you will work with our global research teams to create novel materials and processes for the electronics industry. Candidates should be eager to learn and ready to have an impact from day one. 

Position Responsibilities

·      Develop and optimize electro-chemical processes to balance performance and quality standards.

·      Perform chemical analysis to assess and improve product quality and reproducibility.

·      Design, conduct, and analyze multi-discipline experiments.

·      Coordinate experiments and results with teams around the world.

·      Identify and implement opportunities to improve process efficiency and performance.

·      Support production teams in troubleshooting and scaling of laboratory processes

Position Requirements

·      A B.S. or higher in chemistry or related field

·      2 years of industry experience or academic research work preferred

·      Understanding of good laboratory practices and analytical techniques.

·      Electrochemistry, materials science, semi-conductor experience is preferred.

·      Excellent communication skills and team project experience.

·      An ideal candidate should be independent, responsible, well-organized, and detail oriented.
