Atlas Manufacturing ( www.atlasmfg.com ) is seeking a skilled Metal Finisher (Grinder) to join our dynamic team in Minneapolis, MN. If you have a passion for precision and a keen eye for detail, this is the perfect opportunity for you! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on metal components, contributing to our commitment to excellence in manufacturing.

Hours are Monday - Thursday 2;30 pm - 1 : 00 am

Responsibilities

Operate various grinding machines, including surface grinders, manual grinders, and OD / ID grinding machines.
Perform deburring and finishing tasks to achieve specified tolerances and surface finishes.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
Utilize belt sanders and other finishing tools to enhance product quality.
Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal finishing.

Strong deburring experience and familiarity with various grinding techniques.

Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.

Experience operating surface grinders, manual grinders, and OD / ID grinding machines.

Knowledge of belt sanders and other metal finishing tools.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
