Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant/Scribe will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time, allowing physicians to focus on patient care. Duties
- Accurately document patient histories, physical examinations, and treatment plans during patient visits.
- Record vital signs and other relevant patient information as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Assist in managing electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Assist in minor procedures, wound care, and podiatric needs
- Support the medication administration process by documenting prescribed medications and any changes in treatment plans.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance patient service.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to patient documentation.
- May be required to assist provider in nursing facilities, AFC, patient homes in addition to office setting
Experience
- Previous experience or familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
- Podiatry experience preferred
- Exposure to clinical environments such as hospitals or outpatient clinics is beneficial.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and basic understanding of various medical specialties including X-Ray procedures is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems or similar documentation software will be advantageous.
