Director of Operations
Atlas has an exciting and unique opportunity. We are a small Operational Technology firm with huge growth plans! We are looking for someone that can take initiative, drive positive change, bring enthusiasm, and apply effective communication skills across all levels of the organization. We need a team player who excels in a collaborative environment but can also work proactively and independently with little direction.
The ideal candidate is someone who has experience as Senior Account Manager or Operations Manager but seeking to learn and grow as a Director of Operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides client and business development support for projects, proposals and pricing.
- Serve as a leader and liaison between the organization and customers, addressing contract compliance and resolving issues with professionalism and urgency.
- Creates Standard Operating Procedures
- Provides leadership and support of key technical tools such as estimates and process models, training programs, staffing analysis tools, and other core business processes fundamental to performing our consulting activities.
- Assists Project Team, Sales, and Engineers in the review and interpretation of contract terms and conditions.
- Recruits, grows and manages team.
- Establishes goals and career development plans for all direct reports.
- Evaluates employee performance and performs salary management.
- Create and foster strong relationships with customers and vendors by adding value and solving their business challenges.
- Any other related duty as assigned or requested.
Requirements
Skills, Knowledge, and Experiences
- 10 years of Industrial Automation Experience
- Possible Disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science Engineering. Bachelors Degree required.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles.
- Proficiency in PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, may include Rockwell, Siemens, Emerson, Ignition and other OEMs.
- Have an established network of business contacts and customers within the industrial automation industry.
- Understanding and experience of estimating, project bidding and MSA’s.
- Motivated and passionate about working with people and overcoming challenges through collaboration
- Strong business acumen and ability to determine the long-term value.
- Background in consulting preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and influence characteristics

- Valid Driver's license and ability to travel without restrictions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and detail-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows-based software applications.
- Demonstrate effective time management, professional conduct, and adaptability to change.
