Instrumentation and Controls Engineer
As an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer will be an integral part of our team, working across industries to provide Operational Technology related programs, interfaces, documentation and support. You could be working on assembly lines, well heads, datacenters, beverage facilities, and providing managed SCADA services - all in the same week. The role will require excellence as an individual contributor as well as working as part of a larger team.
Job Overview:
Key Areas of Knowledge:
- Develops specifications and performance requirements for industrial equipment such as instrumentation, valving, networking, and controls.
- Architect and design new instrument and control systems
- Review Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) to lead efforts around preparing quotations and proposals for clients including application engineering, specification, pricing, and summarizing technical deliverables
- Prepare and submit documents as part of project fulfillment including but not limited to instrument specifications, electrical package submittals, procurement system transmittals and client follow ups.
- Uses industrial equipment, electrical and programming knowledge and experience to adapt equipment to specific job applications.
- Prepares operating instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, and other documentation for project deliverables.
- May participate in the installation of machinery and equipment to ensure they function according to specifications.
- Analyzes alternative techniques and methods and recommends changes to equipment or procedures as needed.
- Investigate technical problems, reproduce issues as required, and interface with technology teams to drive customer issues to closure, in a timely manner with a positive outcome.
- Communication skills to provide instructions to all parties included in the project and answer all questions a customer may have on how the software and hardware operates
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems design, development, and maintenance.
- Strong technical background with expertise in control systems, PLCs, DCS, and SCADA.
- Knowledge of engineering including electrical systems, mechanics, pneumatics, and industrial programming preferred
- Instrumentation and Controls Design experience highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Work is completed in hybrid work environments, in office with the team, occasionally from home, and in the field.
