What You’ll Do

• Clean/sanitize classrooms, restrooms, countertops, windows, blinds, furniture, walls, water fountains, gymnasiums, locker rooms, and other areas/items as needed and assigned
• Vacuum, shampoo, sweep, strip, buff, dust, mop, etc. all floors and stairs as needed
• Remove and dispose of trash in facilities and on grounds
• Clean hazards, including bodily fluids, spills, etc. per best practices and current regulations
• Set-up/clean-up for regular and special events as directed
• Process and complete internal work orders
• Recognize and report safety issues in the workplace to the Director of Facilities
• Attend trainings and in-service meetings as necessary
• Maintain excellent attendance and reliability by regularly reporting to work as scheduled 
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities

Compensation & Schedule

• $18.50 - $21.73 Hourly
• Monday - Friday; Approximately 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Annual Calendar and Start Date

• 245* work days per academic year

*Prorated for the 2024-25 school year if the employee's start date is after July 1, 2024.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to pass required background screening pursuant to CRS § § 22-30.5-110.7
• Must be reliable and able to report to work consistently, meeting all attendance expectations
• Must be able to maintain a friendly and positive demeanor around all staff and students
• Must be able to operate and care for mechanized cleaning equipment
• Must have a basic understanding of technology to effectively input and retrieve information within the work order system
• Must be able to work independently with exceptional time management and attention to detail
• Must demonstrate and value accountability, excellence, integrity, resilience, respect, and responsibility

Desired Qualifications

• 2 years of custodial experience
• Previous experience within a school setting
• Bilingual; Spanish & English

Essential Functions

• Sits, stands, walks, stoops, kneels, and crouches/squats while performing duties
• Lifts or carries burdens weighing up to 50 lbs, and pushes and/or pulls other burdens weighing 100 lbs.
• Conducts activities involving climbing, stooping, kneeling/bending, crouching/squatting, crawling, twisting, and reaching utilizing a ladder or a lift
• Works with hands above shoulder height with a weight up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to abide by policies and procedures of Atlas Preparatory School
