What You’ll Do
- Represent Atlas Preparatory School professionally and appropriately during all athletic events and activities
- Assist the head coach with various tasks including all preparation necessary before practices and games, applying appropriate coaching methods geared toward guiding the team to success, and related administrative duties
- Lead by example for athletes by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, perseverance, and good sportsmanship
- Be committed to working all days of the spring 2025 season including the pre-season, regular season, and post-season
- Such work days include but are not limited to, practices, official games, training camps, and off-season workouts
- Be reliably present and thoroughly prepared for all coaching responsibilities, meetings, and any other related Atlas Preparatory School functions
- Be willing to become certified in CPR/First-Aid/AED and any other trainings/certifications that may be required by CHSAA and the NFHS
- Be available and present for any competitions that occur on a Friday or weekend due to pre-scheduled and rescheduled games to align with our school calendar or inclement weather.
- All Coaches must be prepared for such schedule changes in order to best support their athletes.
- Assist the head coach with organized and accurate disbursement and collection of all athletic equipment and uniforms issued to the athletes
Compensation & Schedule
- This is a 1099 Contracted position that receives a one-time payment once the season has concluded
- Total payment ranges from $1,931 - $2,354 (DOE) and will be dispersed on May 31st
- Spring Season: March 17th - May 17th, 2025
- Practices: Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5:15 PM
- Games: Start times vary, but will range between 4:00 and 7:00 PM (with minimal Saturday games)
- Games are held throughout southern Colorado and Denver
Qualifications
Who You Are
- Have a sincere passion for athletics and a desire to encourage that same passion in students
- Ability to successfully pass all required background screening pursuant to CRS § 22-30.5-110.7
- Must be willing to adhere to all rules and regulations of Atlas and associated agencies
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to all practices and games
- Possess a passion for working with diverse populations from socioeconomically disadvantaged communities
- Ability to continuously demonstrate professionalism, especially during escalated situations
