About the Opportunity:

Gain invaluable hands-on experience in the dynamic field of property management with Atlas Home Services. As a Summer Intern, you'll be an integral part of our team, contributing directly to the efficient operation of our maintenance and construction divisions. This unpaid internship offers a unique opportunity for college students to acquire practical skills and knowledge crucial for a successful career in real estate and construction.

  • Team Leadership: 
    • Observe leadership role in coordinating and directing maintenance and construction teams, fostering a productive and efficient work environment.
  • Construction Expertise: 
    • Develop a strong understanding of construction processes, including conducting property walkthroughs, defining project scopes, and estimating costs.
  • Maintenance Mastery: 
    • Become proficient in maintenance operations by learning and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), managing Maintenance Coordinator (MC) work, resolving escalations, and ensuring timely execution of tasks.
  • Property Management Support: 
    • Provide essential support to Property Managers by proactively troubleshooting issues and contributing to effective problem-solving.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: 
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with various departments, fostering seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Financial Insight: 
    • Gain exposure to financial performance analysis and budgeting processes, understanding the financial implications of property management decisions.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: 
    • Develop your skills in vendor relations, including managing escalations, setting performance expectations, negotiating contracts, and evaluating vendor performance.

Requirements

Time Commitment & Schedule:

  • 15-20 Hours Per Week: This internship demands a consistent 15-20 hour weekly commitment.
  • Flexible Scheduling: We offer flexible scheduling to work around your academic schedule.
  • Designated Office Day: One designated office day per week is required.
  • Provided Lunch & Collaboration: On your office day, enjoy complimentary lunch during workshops and collaborative check-in sessions with fellow interns.

Required Qualifications:

  • Academic Enrollment: Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Business Administration, Real Estate, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Industry Interest: Demonstrated interest in the real estate and property management sector.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Excellent written and verbal communication, coupled with strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new software.
  • Growth Mindset: Highly motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn and grow professionally.
