GENERAL SUMMARY: The Lead Host is responsible for overseeing host training, menu management,

private dining coordination, and confirmation calls to ensure exceptional guest experiences and operational efficiency.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This role is responsible for indirectly supervising host staff.  


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Ensures a friendly welcome and departure greeting and the seating of all guests.

  • Answers phones in a polite and prompt manner with appropriate scripting and records all reservations into the reservation system.

  • Helps to manage the flow and pace of our dining service.

  • Collaborate with the host team to ensure quantity and quality of all menus align with Atlas standards.

  • Monitor inventory of menus and coordinate with management team to maintain stock levels

  • Lead training of all new host/hostess team members on menu, knowledge, service and efficient table management. 

  • Manage private dining leads and input into Tripleseat as necessary

  • Communicate with FOH managers as leads are processes to promptly answer any guest questions/concerns. 

  • Conduct confirmation calls to confirm reservations and ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Address guest inquiries and manage reservations effectively.  


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Convey information and ideas with clarity and genuine warmth and hospitality

  • Able to perform in a team serving environment

  • Must have a working knowledge of OpenTable or other reservation service program

  • Strong ability to effectively multi-task in fast paced environments

  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to stand during entire shift

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a host or in customer service in a related field, preferably in hotels or restaurants

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred

  • Supervisory experience is a plus


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:

  • Must have a valid form of identification.  


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Must have the knowledge to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; 

  • Must have the knowledge to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and tips.

  • Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Must be able to learn and utilize computer systems.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Basic knowledge of English is highly preferred. 

  • Must have the ability to read, understand and follow both verbal and written company directives and initiatives. 

  • Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of government policies and regulations. 

  • Have the ability to effectively answer questions and speak before groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public at restaurant locations. 

    

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Must have the ability to use common sense to understand and carry out written and oral instructions. 

  • Must have the ability to creatively solve problems in a fast paced environment using experience and an outside-the-box mindset.

  • Successful performance of this position requires close, distance, and peripheral vision.  The individual must possess depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • The individual must have sufficient physical mobility or agility to be able to respond quickly to fire or other emergencies.

While performing most duties of this job, the individual may be:

  • Work in an environment that is of a moderate noise level, typical of a restaurant kitchen environment with medium to high foot traffic. 

  • Occasionally may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, as well as toxic or caustic chemicals while visiting our restaurant properties.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation:

This role pays between $15.00 - 20.00 per hour
