This role will be responsible for driving innovation and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems across Atlas. This role will serve as the link between engineering, IT infrastructure, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and our manufacturing facilities, ensuring that our applications and systems deliver efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions to support our operational goals and long-term growth. Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of application developers and database administrators focused on the Ignition platform.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous professional growth.
- Oversee recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and career development for team members.
- Direct the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing applications using ignition.
- Ensure software solutions are robust, secure, scalable, and meet the needs of manufacturing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Act as the primary liaison between engineering, IT infrastructure, ERP, and manufacturing facilities.
- Coordinate with the ERP team to integrate manufacturing systems and ensure seamless data flow.
- Work closely with engineering and facilities teams to understand production challenges and develop technology-driven solutions.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for system performance and team productivity.
- Develop, document, and refine processes to enhance system integration and operational efficiency.
- Stay current with the latest software releases, emerging technologies, and best practices with Ignition.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and propose strategic enhancements to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term technology strategies that support overall business goals.
- Ensure all systems and applications comply with industry regulations and internal policies,
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with system integrations and software implementations.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Ignition and familiarity with its architecture, scripting, and system configuration.
- Understanding of ERP systems and their integration with manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Solid foundation in software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
- Experience with industrial networks, PLCs, SCADA systems, and IoT solutions.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across various departments and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data analytics, visualization tools, and performance monitoring solutions.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices in industrial environments.
- Ability to drive change and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments and
- Experience managing software development teams, particularly those working with the Ignition
- Strong experience in systems integration within a manufacturing or industrial environment and data transfer to an ERP system.
- Experience with Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) calculations related to manufacturing
