Atlas Roof Shingles & Underlayments is seeking a Maintenance Planner for the Ardmore, OK facility.
The main purpose for the Planner/Scheduler is to execute and continuously improve the maintenance program to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) with a focus on the effective and efficient utilization of all resources to maintain the health of the assets at optimal cost.
Maintenance Planner Primary Responsibilities
- Plan, propose and schedule times to execute work orders based on the priority of needs, while maintaining a balance between resources and costs
- Propose plans to maintain the level of completeness of the maintenance program, including the co-ordination and detailed planning for all maintenance inclusive of the annual, semi-annual and all other shutdowns
- Prepare and confirm the contents of all documentation packages prepared prior to maintenance activities, including the inclusion of all pertinent safety plans, drawings, details, special instructions or requirements, and permits
- Assure that all part kits, tools, q-assemblies, equipment, external services and other necessities for efficiently executing the planned and scheduled work orders are prepared prior to the maintenance period, to maximize the wrench time for the technicians and contractors.
- Coordinate with purchasing for all maintenance related activities that utilize outside contractors, equipment rentals, special services, etc.
- Expedite the purchasing, borrowing or lending, transporting and receiving out of stock parts, direct issue parts, exchange of q-assemblies, which might delay or are delaying the execution of work orders at the site or within the company
- Help maintain an on-going library of drawings, sketches, digital pictures, catalogs, instructions, etc. for any parts, assemblies for Asset, Part, PM and Job Plan through the attachment feature of CMMS
- Host, facilitate and document the pre-maintenance planning / scheduling meeting
- Facilitate maintenance activities with production, health and safety, environmental and any other person who may require resources during a maintenance period
- Recommend job assignments and order of execution of the work orders to Maintenance Supervisors, and to closely work with the maintenance supervisor during maintenance periods to handle issues without compromising critical needs
- 5-10 years in industrial maintenance experience as a planner/scheduler or supervisor required
- 5 years of experience in mechanical design preferred
- Experience with the application of equipment reliability processes and practices including preventive maintenance, proactive maintenance and total productive maintenance (TPM) methodologies
- Preference should be given to those with Lean Manufacturing and TPM knowledge and experience
- must have excellent documentation skills, and be fluent in written and verbal English
- must have excellent computer skills, preferably with a Computerized Maintenance Management System
- must be able to lead and coach people on the above subjects
- must be proficient in data analysis
- Experience in a fast-paced, continuous process manufacturing facility and able to manage multiple priorities and multi-variant issues.
- Associates degree in a technical field preferred
- Physical demands described must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
