Atlas Roofing Shingles and Underlayment is seeking a Maintenance Planner for Meridian, MS.
Maintenance Planner Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the Stores Administrator which includes leading, training, and directing daily activities.
- Act as relief Stores Administrator which includes purchasing authority for all stores equipment and activities.
- Required to produce daily, weekly, 2-week, and down day work schedules for the Maintenance Technicians.
- Leads down day and critical failure critique meetings to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Utilize E-Maintenance CMMS for the development of Work Orders, scheduling of Mill Rights, Preventative Maintenance, and stores inventory. This individual will be trained and be responsible for the training of others on the use of the system.
- Manage Fork Truck Fleet for RMRMS. The position will also be required to pass the OSHA Forklift trainer. In addition, this position will act as, along with the Maintenance Supervisor, the plant forklift trainer
- Development and maintenance of equipment specific Bills of Materials (BOM's) and the inventory of all spare parts
- Track and report on critical KPI's to measure performance (Schedule compliance, Emergency Work Orders, Work from PM's, etc.)
- Direct daily meetings with Maintenance Supervisor and Production Supervisors to review schedule and prioritize work orders.
- Assist in writing job plans for all Maintenance activities. This includes the development of the JSA program for the Maintenance Department
- Lead Root Cause Analysis Teams for repeat or critical failures of equipment
- Work closely with the Plant Superintendent on optimizing the use of Contractors to achieve both compliance for inspections and optimizing the use of the available maintenance staff.
- Work closely with the Plant Engineer on the coordination of Contractor work in the facility.
- Manage and responsible for the completion of all required safety inspections in accordance with the Plant Safety Program.
Maintenance Planner Experience
- Minimum three (3) years working in a Production/Manufacturing Environment
- Supply Room or Storeroom Administration
Maintenance Planner Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Organization. Must have sound organizational skills.
- Communication. Ability to provide relevant and timely information in a clear manner both verbally and in writing.
- Follow Through. Fulfills the requirements of the position as described. Follow-through on completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner. Anticipates what needs to be done and proceeds without direction in a timely manner.
- Problem Solving. Ability to think through issues and develop solutions in a timely manner.
- Must be able to speak fluent English.
- Basic math skills required.
- Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, email (Lotus Notes), misc.
- Must possess an exemplary attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
Maintenance Planner Education, Licenses & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Preferably Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or similar job experience.
