ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other Duties As Assigned)
- Works with Production Manager to develop schedule that meets production needs.
- General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations,
- Prepares tooling and tooling related accessories for installation in press:
- Cleaning of tooling (i.e. pressure wash, dry ice-blast, etc.).
- Replaces seals as needed (rope seals, collar seals, KO seals, etc.).
- Installs Logo Plates, Inserts, fill guns and KO rods as appropriate.
- Mounts extension frames and receiver frames as needed.
- Follow tooling best practices:
- Label defective materials for rebuild, store in proper location.
- Storage and safe handling of tools.
- Help to identify leaks in tooling and repair as needed.
- Performs basic repairs (i.e. rebuild FG’s, replace bolts, etc.).
- Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies and works with appropriate personnel to order
- Recognize and adhere to all best practices for safety (i.e. lock out/tag out, etc.).
- Must be able to operate forklift within the safety guidelines established by AMP.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Performs any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be trained and familiar with general safety.
- Must be trained and familiar with Quality System Awareness.
- Must be verified by supervisor and be signed off on procedures needed to fulfill job requirements
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.
- Experience with maintenance/mechanical systems preferred.
- Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
- Moderate to heavy physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting,
head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift.
- Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds; and safely operate assigned machinery.
