Job Summary
The Pharmacy Operations Director will oversee the operations of our current Class A pharmacy that and lead the project to establish our new 503 A and 503 B functional Class B compounding pharmacy. This is an active working role requiring hands-on involvement in daily operations, staff management, and the development of policies and processes as the pharmacy grows. We're seeking an entrepreneurial leader who can grow and build our current operations. The Director will partner closely with our legal department to ensure regulatory compliance to meet both state and federal standards ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in all services provided. The ideal candidate is a logistics expert who understands who to use process and procedure to scale a young operation.
Core Responsibilities
- Actively participate in day-to-day pharmacy operations
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows to support the growth of the Class B pharmacy
- Act as the subject matter expert in pharmacy throughout our partner brands, Limitless Male Medical, Apollo, and Trillion Health
- Provide hands-on leadership to ensure the smooth function of the pharmacy
- Train and supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacists and technicians
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback and foster professional growth among team members
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring proper storage, handling and availability of medications
- Maintaining the pharmacy work environment to USP 795 requirements
- Manage logistics for shipping and receiving pharmaceutical products in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, healthcare providers and other stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring high levels of satisfaction
- Lead and coordinate efforts related to the development of new drugs and pharmaceutical services
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring objectives are achieved
- Oversee the pharmacy's profit and loss (P&L) performance, identifying opportunities for growth and cost savings
- Develop and manage budgets to align with operational and strategic goals
- Partner with our legal department to ensure full compliance with federal, state and local regulations for Class B pharmacy operations
- Implement quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of pharmaceutical care
- Establish and refine workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Act as a key contributor to the strategic planning and growth of the pharmacy
- Other duties as assigned
