Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Addiction Nurse Manager to lead their addiction services nursing team. This role is ideal for a confident nurse leader with a strong background in psychiatric nursing and a passion for supporting individuals on their recovery journey. The Nurse Manager will oversee clinical operations, ensure high standards of patient care, mentor staff, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and clinical oversight to the nursing staff within the addiction services unit.
- Supervise daily operations, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in psychiatric and addiction care.
- Support staff development through coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans.
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to maintain optimal care delivery.
- Oversee quality assurance initiatives and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure documentation and reporting are accurate, timely, and aligned with legal and ethical standards.
- Respond to patient and staff concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the State of New Jersey (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of psychiatric nursing experience in an inpatient or addiction treatment setting.
- Previous leadership experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting is required.
- Strong knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring conditions, and psychiatric nursing best practices.
- Proven ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and inspire staff.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
