Job Title: Director of Global Accounts Payable
Job Summary:
The Director of Global Accounts Payable is responsible for overseeing and managing the global accounts payable function, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with corporate policies and financial regulations. This role will drive process improvements, implement automation strategies, and lead a high-performing team to optimize the company’s payment processes worldwide. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in global payment operations, vendor management, compliance, and financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the global accounts payable strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals.
- Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations across multiple regions.
- Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements, tax laws, and corporate policies.
- Implement automation tools and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of accounts payable professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and IT teams to streamline workflows and improve vendor payment processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of accounts payable operations.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain financial controls and mitigate risks.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, financial institutions, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead system implementation projects and ensure integration with ERP and financial systems.
- Resolve escalated payment issues and drive solutions to enhance vendor satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of global payment regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar) and accounts payable automation tools.
- Proven track record of process optimization and implementing technology-driven solutions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing accounts payable functions in a multinational corporation.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and internal controls frameworks (SOX compliance).
Salary : $200,000 - $325,000
