Director of Treasury

This individual will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of the firm’s treasury function, ensuring efficient and effective management of liquidity, banking relationships and treasury systems. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of treasury best practices within the investment management industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Core Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy:

o Develop and implement the strategic direction for treasury operations, aligning with the overall business objectives of the firm.

o Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of treasury professionals.

o Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes impacting treasury operations.

• Banking Relationships & Cash Management:

o Manage and optimize relationships with key banking partners, negotiating favorable terms and service levels.

o Oversee daily cash management activities, including account opening/closing, cash forecasting, liquidity management, and short-term investing.

o Implement and maintain robust cash management controls to mitigate risk and ensure accuracy.

• Treasury Systems & Technology:

o Oversee system integrations and upgrades, ensuring seamless data flow and reporting capabilities.

o Stay informed about emerging technologies in treasury management and assess their potential impact.

• Treasury Controls & Risk Management:

o Develop and maintain a strong internal control environment within treasury operations, adhering to relevant laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.

o Identify, assess, and mitigate treasury-related risks, including fraud, counterparty risk, and operational risk.
