Finance/Accounting Manager
Position Summary:
A growing investment firm is seeking a Finance/Accounting Manager to join its expanding finance team, reporting to the CFO and Controller. This role will collaborate closely with investment, operations, and investor relations teams, as well as senior leadership. The position is based in Washington, DC, with occasional travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with investment teams to facilitate deal execution, portfolio monitoring, and capital transactions, ensuring accurate recording and reporting
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly valuations for portfolio companies, including analysis of complex capital structures and application of ASC 820 valuation methodologies
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements and reporting workbooks for credit funds
- Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and professional development
- Actively oversee fund liquidity and credit lines, including forecasting, compliance with fund agreements, and managing capital calls
- Analyze and calculate fund performance, including return metrics and carried interest waterfalls
- Enhance financial controls, documentation, and record-keeping processes
- Coordinate with external service providers, including auditors, tax advisors, custodians, and valuation professionals
- Support senior leadership with ad hoc analysis and strategic financial initiatives
Candidate Profile:
- 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within investment management, private equity, or credit
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with strong academic performance
- CPA or CFA preferred
- Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams to drive process improvements
- Prior management or team leadership experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- High ethical standards and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing business environment
Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
