A leading firm is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to manage and optimize server infrastructure, automation, and troubleshooting for production and non-production environments, including real-time trading applications.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and enhance Red Hat Satellite & Ansible Tower platforms.
- Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Automate manual tasks and improve infrastructure efficiency.
- Manage servers, storage, and backup solutions (Dell/EMC, Veritas NetBackup).
- Support QA and development teams with test environments.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and implement improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotations for Linux-related incidents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.
- 5 years of experience supporting complex Linux, storage, and backup infrastructure.
- Expertise in Red Hat 7/8, VMware 6.0 , and infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Ruby, or Perl).
- Ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
