Job Description:
Our client, a leading investment firm managing significant assets across private equity, private debt, and real estate strategies, is seeking a skilled Loan Administrator to join their team for a consulting position. This position involves the daily management and reconciliation of portfolio activities while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process daily portfolio activities, including interest rate rollovers, principal, and interest transactions.
- Supervise an offshore reconciliation support team to ensure accurate and timely cash and position reconciliations across multiple funds.
- Reconcile positions and cash with custodians, fund administrators, and counterparties.
- Monitor and process amendments and reorganizations, collaborating with Finance, Accounting, Valuations, and Front Office teams when necessary.
- Provide monthly and quarterly close packets to the Finance and Accounting team, detailing outstanding reconciliation items, trade activity, accruals, and any potential control issues.
- Maintain a specific portfolio, providing ongoing support for the Front Office and Controllers, including reporting, addressing ad-hoc requests, and general assistance.
Company Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of the syndicated loan market.
- Strong understanding of Loan Facility Agreements and supporting documentation.
- Experience with system processing of credit events.
- Familiarity with general ledgers and financial accounting processes.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- VPM & IVP experience is a must.
- Knowledge of loan, TRS, and fixed income settlements is a plus.
