What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle Office Operations Associate position at Atlas Search?
We are working with a reputable hedge fund that is actively seeking a Middle Office Operations Specialist to join their team and report to the SVP of Equity Operations. The ideal candidate will handle key middle-office and post-trade support functions while contributing to projects that enhance business operations and mitigate operational risk. This is a fantastic contract opportunity, and we are looking to fill the position as quickly as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Perform trade reconciliations
- Define and implement operational risk controls
- Reconcile internal positions across multiple counterparties and asset classes
- Manage admin positions/transactions/cash reconciliations exceptions across multiple counterparties
- Manage mandatory/voluntary corporate action event and post trade event lifecycles
- Analyze our existing operational platform to establish straight through processing and find efficiencies
- Partner with technology teams to deliver automated processes
- Track, resolve, and remediate incidents
Qualifications:
- 2 yrs of operations experience at an investment management firm, fund administrator, or bank
- BA/BS degree with a strong academic record (preferably in finance or economics)
- Full trade lifecycle and post trade processing experience in equities and macro asset classes
- Proficiency in Excel
