What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle Office Operations position at Atlas Search?
Our client is one of the largest hedge funds, whose aim is to generate alpha for its clients and deliver differentiated solutions in investment management, securities, private equity, real estate, venture capital, portfolio analytics, and insurance. They are actively seeking an experienced Middle Office Operations Specialist to join their team and report to the SVP of Equity Operations. The ideal candidate will handle key middle-office and post-trade support functions while contributing to projects that enhance business operations and mitigate operational risk. This is a fantastic contract opportunity, and we are looking to fill the position as quickly as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Perform trade reconciliations
- Define and implement operational risk controls
- Reconcile internal positions across multiple counterparties and asset classes
- Manage admin positions/transactions/cash reconciliations exceptions across multiple counterparties
- Manage T 0 matching and settlements across multiple asset classes and markets
- Manage mandatory/voluntary corporate action event and post trade event lifecycles
- Analyze our existing operational platform to establish straight through processing and find efficiencies
- Partner with technology teams to deliver automated processes
- Track, resolve, and remediate incidents
Qualifications:
- 5 yrs of operations experience at an investment management firm, fund administrator, or bank
- BA/BS degree with a strong academic record (preferably in finance or economics)
- Full trade lifecycle and post trade processing experience in equities and macro asset classes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- Data analytical skills (e.g. compiling datasets and identifying anomalies/trends)
- Proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency with Tableau and Alteryx is a plus
