About Our Client:
We are working on a Tax Structuring role at one of the top alternative investment management firms in the world, specializing in managing hedge funds and private equity funds.
This is a global company that was ranked in the top 10 funds of the world. Their assets are roughly $40B AUM with under 400 employees globally.
Key Responsibilities:
For this role, they are looking for someone who demonstrates exceptional critical thinking skills, curiosity, and creativity.
This candidate will advise the firm with respect to US tax throughout the deal life cycle, including but not limited to:
- Tax structuring for US distressed, real estate and structured products, including loan origination and structured equity transactions
- Tax modeling and Tax due diligence for transactions
- Tax research and tax planning of existing domestic and international deals
- Tax implications during restructurings
This candidate will partner with and provide guidance to the:
- Investment Management deal teams
- Internal global tax team
- Internal legal and asset management teams
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, the candidate should possess:
- At least 7 to 10 years of tax experience from the Big 4, or an asset management firm
- Ability to provide practical, commercial tax advice
- Strong working knowledge of the US ECI, UBTI, CODI and FIRPTA provisions
- International tax planning (CFC, PFIC, GILTI, FTC and US CTB elections)
Salary : $110,000 - $155,000
