Base pay range
175,000.00 / yr - $200,000.00 / yr
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and / or assist with all legal aspects of fundraising, including fund formation, structuring vehicles, capital raising processes, and other ongoing legal requirements, which may include due diligence activities
- Act as lead counsel on the investment structure agreements and liaise with partners
- Provide leadership in supporting our M&A ambitions, acting as a business partner supporting all phases of transactions
- Draft and negotiate a wide variety of contractual arrangements
- Act as a trusted advisor to team members on relevant legal issues affecting the businesses
- Oversee the work of external counsels engaged in managing fund transactions
- Assist with regulatory compliance and the implementation and administration of core policies and procedures (e.g., compliance, AML / KYC, conflicts of interests, etc.)
- Identify and track regulatory developments and best practices in the areas of compliance, securities law, and corporate governance
