Financial Controller

Company Overview:
We are a dynamic and growing manufacturing company based in Pasco, Washington. We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, extensive experience with ERP software systems, the ability to implement financial control processes and the ability to provide strategic financial leadership.


Financial Controller Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare all monthly account reconciliations.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Implement and manage robust cost accounting systems to track and analyze manufacturing costs.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure accurate cost allocation and identify areas for operational efficiency.
• Ownership of entire contract to cash cycle including: 1) Entering in all new projects/customers, preparation of weekly cost reports, weekly invoicing, and collection activities.
• Oversee the utilization and optimization of the ERP system for seamless financial operations.
• Implement improvements and updates to enhance system efficiency.
• Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monthly reporting for union activities
• Monthly reporting and compliance for sales and use tax.
• Manage cash flow and working capital effectively.
• Supervise and mentor a small finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
• Provide guidance and training on financial processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals.
• Contribute to long-term financial planning and risk management.
• Continually look for new ways to improve systems, processes, etc.

Education and Certification:

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with a focus on cost accounting in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven experience with ERP software systems. Proficiency in using ERP software for financial management.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.

Salary: $85,000-$100,000 DOE

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
