HVAC Estimator / Inside Sales
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Estimator / Inside Sales to join our team, specializing in commercial and Industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HVAC systems, estimating software, and the ability to create detailed, accurate, and profitable bids. You will work closely with clients, suppliers, and our fabrication team to ensure successful project execution.
Required : Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC estimating / fabrication, preferably in commercial or industrial construction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Experience with HVAC or estimating construction projects is required.
- The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints and estimating commercial ductwork projects. They will need to quote both spiral and rectangular ductwork, so experience with both is also ideal. Sales experience is also ideal.
- Assist walk-in customers by answering their questions and processing their orders efficiently and accurately.
- Review project documents to identify scope, pricing impacts, and potential conflicts.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing.
- Develop conceptual estimates for budgeting purposes, using historical data and market trends.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams (e.g., fabrication shop) to adjust and finalize estimates.
- Leverage HVAC system knowledge to generate accurate bids for commercial and industrial projects involving sheet metal or mechanical systems.
- Prepare complete bids by gathering information, interpreting blueprints, and applying expertise in HVAC systems.
- Answers incoming phone calls to take customer orders, ensuring accurate entry of order details and providing information on products and services.
- Maintain detailed and comprehensive estimates of materials and labor required for each project.
- Prioritize multiple bids simultaneously, managing deadlines and communicating progress clearly.
- Promote strong partnerships with clients and maintain positive vendor relationships through negotiation and clear communication.
- Ensure accuracy by analyzing and interpreting contract documents, specifications, and bid requirements.
- Maintain and update material information in our software database for consistency and efficiency.
- Adapt to changing priorities and manage interruptions while working independently.
Qualifications and Experience :
Monday to Friday 7 : 00am to 3 : 30pm
Salary : $52k to $70k / yr
