Atlas Staffing is hiring a Material Handler for a reputable company in the steel fabrication industry! If you have 2 years’ experience as a material handler and can operate an overhead crane and forklift, we want to hear from you!
Material Handler Objective : This position is responsible for operating overhead crane and forklift to move and place materials for welding and fitting in the fabrication shop. In this role you would maintain and organize materials in the shop and yard; tracking materials that are incoming and outgoing.
Material Handler Required Qualifications :
At least 1 year of material handling experience
Minimum 1 year Forklift & Overhead Crane experience
Proven ability to operate 5000 pound capacity and larger forklifts utilized to safely move structural steel beams and related material up to 65' in length.
Ability to work efficiently matching material to lists provided, storing, and retrieving materials and keeping records in accordance with established procedures.
Competence in using a variety of potentially dangerous equipment following all safety rules, requirements, practices, and precautions
Proficient on Hyster80 and up to Hyster360.
Must have high attention to detail.
Pay : $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
Shift : Monday – Thursday, 5 : 00am – 3 : 30pm mandatory overtime on Friday, 5 : 00am – 2 : 00pm
