Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing with a focus on surgical care, demonstrating exceptional clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This role is crucial in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures, as well as providing comprehensive post-operative care.

Work Setting: Operating room/Procedure room/Angio suite/outpatient
Duties
- Assess patients' health status and prepare them for surgery, including conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical records.
- Administer medications and manage pain effectively throughout the surgical process.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Implement discharge planning by educating patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols during surgical procedures.
- Utilize SIS for accurate documentation of patient information and care provided.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition during surgery.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and infectious disease care.
- Experience with pain management techniques and medication administration.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes is preferred.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
