React Engineer

Atlas Tech is seeking a React Engineer supporting the next generation Navy tactical communications systems on Linux systems.

We are seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented software engineer to assist our Navy customer in defining, developing, implementing, maintaining, supporting, tuning, and troubleshooting software and hardware infrastructure related to React GUI interface engineering for a Linux network application. This key position is part of a dynamic team fulfilling technical needs of our military and will be responsible for developing software applications that support Navy tactical communications systems. This position allows for telework up to 2 days per week. However, Atlas reserves the right to adjust the schedule, if required to meet the needs of our customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Developing software applications in ReactJS on Red Hat Linux platform. Python and TypeScript / JavaScript also desirable.
• Maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers
• Administering Red Hat virtual machines (KVM) and containers (Docker / Podman)
• Automation of maintenance tasks using shell scripting (Bash)
• Maintain source code in software repositories (Git)
• Assisting in management of network devices, including configuration of layer 2 & 3 switches and routers
• Assist subject matter experts with software engineering change requests (ECR) and software installation documentation
• Research and resolve software trouble reports impacting application functionality.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines for IT system security, specifically STIG compliance
