Laboratory Technician - Construction Materials

We are seeking a Construction Materials Testing Lab Technician 2 to join our Tempe, AZ team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lab Technicians are expected to follow Atlas' policies and guidelines in regard to health and safety. Technicians will be performing observations, sampling and testing on asphalt, concrete and soils.
• Capable of completing assigned tasks on time and occasionally working long hours or weekends to do so.
• Ability to understand directions and execute assignments, operate a company vehicle, work outdoors, communicate effectively with peers, willing to take on new assignments and ensure their completion within scope and budget in a safe manner.

Minimum requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, pass MVR Background check.
• At least 5 Years of experience in CMT in either Field or Lab work.
• Must have a Clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screen.
• Run typical asphalt lab testing. (Ignition, Bulk and Rice).

Technical requirements:

• ATTI, ACI, NICET, & SCT Certifications are a plus.
• Needs to be able to articulate observations into writing.
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel and comfortable using a computer.
• Ability to read and write technical descriptions, plans, technical specifications and proficiently use Microsoft Office programs.

• Customer focused. Ability to communicate efficiently.
• Punctual and professional.
• Willingness to travel and stay out of town where needed.
