We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Comcast Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecommunications equipment and services for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, computer networking, and mechanical knowledge, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure telecommunications equipment, including routers, modems, and fiber optic systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of network connections to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and voltmeters to conduct tests on electrical systems and diagnose issues.
- Execute fiber splicing techniques to connect various types of fiber optic cables.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain services and resolve any technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Clean driving record.
- Candidates that have their own white truck will be considered first. Please inform during the interview if this is the case.
- Proven experience as a service technician in the telecommunications industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Ethernet technologies and low voltage electrical systems.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools effectively.
- Experience in fiber splicing is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to telecommunicate effectively with both customers and team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
