What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Meat/Seafood Associate position at Atlas Valley Purveyors?
Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Package and prepare meat and seafood for customers.
- Order product from designated vendors and maintain budgets set by management.
- Maintain product integrity in display counter, meeting or exceeding health department standards.
- Rotate inventory appropriately, FIFO.
- Answer customer questions regarding the preparation of meat and seafood.
- Answer customer’s questions regarding products, policies and services that AVP provides.
- Maintain clean and orderly department, walk-in etc.
- Request information or assistance using the PA system.
- Train, teach and educate fellow staff members on meat/seafood rules and regulations.
- Assure fellow staff members are following meat/seafood rules and regulations.
- Help to resolve customer’s complaints.
- Maintain proper communication with managers and fellow co-workers.
- Assist Grocery Manager with weekly schedule.
- Friendly customer approach and willingness to do food demos.
- Cross-train to sales staff and cashiers.
- Back-up for Deli counter.
- Provide strong knowledge of all store products.
- Must possess strong understanding of meat/seafood
- Mathematics skills
