The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director/Director of Talent & HR Operations to support the Head of Talent and serve as a strategic advisor and right-hand to the Talent and HR portfolio efforts at Atlas. This new role requires exceptional communication and organizational skills. This individual will play a pivotal role in driving key Talent initiatives, managing projects, and ensuring seamless Talent coordination within the organization and across the portfolio. This position will require an in-office presence at our office which is in Cambridge, MA.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Support:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for the Head of Talent, assisting with correspondence, scheduling meetings, and prioritizing tasks to optimize efficiency
- Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reports for the Head of Talent to support decision-making and communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop engaging presentations to deliver Talent and HR research insights, leveraging storytelling skills to persuasively communicate outcomes and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders
- Responsible for executive-level communications and interactions with key stakeholders
- Facilitate communication and alignment between the Head of Talent and Partners, ensuring clear understanding of priorities and objectives
- Improve current processes and optimize organizational procedures for efficiency and productivity
Project Management:
- Lead and manage project execution on our most critical cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Implement and oversee project management processes, dashboards, templates, and project metrics
- Develop and manage project schedules and work plans
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as liaison between talent and business
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, external search firms, and talent
Talent & Compensation Monitoring:
- Manage cross-functional analytics projects to advance Talent & HR strategies including but not limited to: analyze KPIs identifying signals and detect emerging trends; prepare clear and concise reports and presentations for review with key stakeholders
- Maintain data quality across Talent & HR systems
Ideal candidates will have:
- BA/MA degree
- Minimum of 7 years of prior experience required; venture capital and/or biotech full-cycle talent acquisition and/or HR experience a plus
- Demonstrated experience in a strategic operations role
- Critical thinking, judgement, and influencing skills
- Highly organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
- Ability to prioritize and operate with autonomy
- Impeccable communication, presentation and writing skills
- Results-focused with persistence and patience to drive results
- Self-aware and approachable with a genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn and grow
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information
- Mastery of Microsoft Office/365, especially Excel and PowerPoint
