Job Title : Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary :
- To learn, understand, and actively support the execution of a professional maintenance system to achieve world class status in Battery manufacturing
- Build a predictive maintenance system
- Establish cost management based planned maintenance system
- Supporting Metrics : reduction of machine faults, improved OEE, improved planned maintenance activities, reduction of labor and material costs, improved product quality through a robust error-proofing process, improved ergonomics and safety at work stations, extended useful life of equipment, reduction in set-up and change-over times, increased percentage of planned maintenance, reduced equipment life cycle cost, elimination of conditions for accidents
Responsibilities & Essential Functions :
Work with a “Safety Always” mindset through supporting and promoting continuous improvement of safety and health in the workplacePerform all duties with a “Quality First” mindset through the improvement of work processes and procedures to eliminate and prevent defectsDevelop and maintain a “Big Picture” focus and understanding of the complete battery manufacturing process within the first 3-months of employmentEstablish good rapport and built working relationship and networks with peers, technicians, and other employees to develop a strong network and support baseDevelop and maintain effective working relationship with suppliers and other third partiesRemain current with professional practices and maintain a high awareness of new products and procedures in the industry. Monitor trade publications and actively participate in professional organizationsCommunicate information timely and clearlySupport the designation of serial numbers for components, placement of orders, and record-keeping of purchases in SAP to ensure required inventory levelsLearn and develop the necessary skills and know how to complete consultation forms accurately and timelyAssist other engineers with proposal development, contract documentation and other activities as requiredEstablish a working pattern where all work activities and plans are “Audit ready”Develop a flexible personal work schedule as a 24 / 7 operation to ensure necessary work is completed to meet required deadlines through taking ownership in your area of responsibilityPerform routine duties requiring application and knowledge of basic engineering principlesPrepare simple and routine plans, calculations, and cost estimates by following standard engineering practices and proceduresInterpret engineering specifications and solve routine problems by applying defined procedures with proven precedentSystematically identify causes of problems and identify possible solutions in a Plan – Do – Check – Act methodologyResearch, learn, and drive the introduction of enhanced maintenance techniquesDrive cooperation between operators and maintenance staff to support equipment up-time objectivesSupport improvement of planned maintenance activities and schedules to reduce costSupport definition and application of efficient, sustainable cleaning, inspection, lubrication and re-tightening cycle (5S)Support activities related to improving equipment uptime, e.g. MTBF, MTTR, through application of know-how and skills and using Fault analysis toolsSupport the restoration and maintenance of basic equipment conditions through analysis to stop deteriorationParticipate in value stream mapping activities to identify NVA and eliminate redundancy and wastePerform additional duties as assigned by managementQualifications & Skills :

Bachelor’s degree required; mechanical / electrical engineering major preferred; advance degree in a related field preferredA related internship with previous experience in manufacturing industry desiredExcellent command of written and spoken English; both conversational and technicalKorean / English Bilingual preferredRequired Competencies :
Engineering and Technology : Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and servicesMechanical : Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceProduction and Processing : Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goodsDesign : Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and modelsMathematics : Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applicationsPhysical Demands :
Physical demands may include but not limited to the following :
Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and ascend / descend stairs and ladders.May use scissor lifts or boom lifts on occasionMust be able to navigate throughout inside and outside the facilityMust be able to effectively operate a computerMust be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.Must be able to wear all required PPE while in production area.Must be able to pass a (PFT) Pulmonary Function Test for respirator wearBenefits :
