Job Title: Production Coordinator
Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt
Location: On-Site, Clarksville, TN
Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing leadership and coordination to the Production Team, Product scheduling, and scrap. Individual is responsible for establishing and using systems that ensure the safety, quality, and production is met. Insuring inventory and assets are controlled and accounted for in a manner that is compliant with control plan. Successful performance requires the satisfactory execution of the below listed essential duties.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Production Coordination
- Coordinate workload & prioritize job assignments of crew staff with supervisors
- Provide production and safety guidance, training, and assistance to staff
- Confer regularly with manager and supervisors to plan and coordinate activities, exchange information, and resolve problems
- Build and maintain professional relationships with all employees
- Correspond with team concerning product issues: Quality, shortages, etc.
- Operate forklift and other necessary equipment, to properly handle materials being received, issued, stocked and picked to keep product flowing through facility
- Learn department equipment to help train and/or fill in for team members

Administration
- Maintain records and generate reports regarding scrap, DUF (Dry Unformed Batteries) and performance
- Maintain safety program in compliance with company and OSHA standards
- Issue supplies, materials, and equipment to employees according to the company handbook and policies
- Complete all necessary documentation for stock items issued and/or returned and forward to administration staff
- Analyze incoming trainees and evaluate effectiveness

Inventory
- Responsible for all stock levels & incoming stock information; communicate all incoming information via spreadsheets and emails to administrative staff and production employees
- Conduct daily reconciliation of inventory materials issued to and returned from employees
- Responsible for conducting cycle counts and complete physical inventory at intervals specified by Production Manager
- Responsible for monthly physical inventory count: verify physical counts to computer levels, investigate discrepancies, and adjust inventory
- Utilize excel, documents, forms, and computer to properly account for scrap, DUF, new materials, and associated back orders by charting and comparing month over month
- Organize, maintain, and stock warehouse and inventory areas for secure material/equipment storage and efficient handling
- Maintain records and coordinate the periodic inventory inspection, testing, and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures
Other Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and repair
- Attend training meetings, conferences, and seminars necessary to gain and maintain the knowledge and skills to perform the responsibilities
- Gain knowledge and ability to cover absences and meet essential production requirements
- Provide delivery of materials to job sites, as needed
- Follow all safety and hygiene procedures set forth by Hankook
- Enable effective communication between management and operators
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol
- Investigate and report all incidents (spills, accidents, poor performance)
- Perform other duties and assigned by management
Education & Experience
- HS diploma or equivalent and some college is required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using Excel to create daily, weekly, monthly, annual reports for management
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Bilingual Korean-English Preferred
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Physical demands may include but not limited to the following
- Must be able to climb stairs, stand for extended periods of time and safely lift 50lbs
- Must be able to wear required personal protective safety equipment for extended periods of time
- Must be able to act professionally at all time while representing the company
- Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs.
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office machinery.
- Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets.
- Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to take and pass Lead Exam
