Position Title: Manufacturing Engineering Intern
Summary:
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the company’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Obtain feedback from critical stakeholders involved in the new product or the process improvement
- Work with cross-functional teams to execute projects on time and on budget
- Apply lean manufacturing, six sigma, and other manufacturing best practices to new products in order to improve their efficiency and eliminate waste
- Find and pitch improvement ideas, and then execute ideas if approved into a full project
- Document any best practices discovered and/or standards implemented
- Living the company’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering, or related field, in the United States.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
- Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
- Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress
Compensation:
The compensation for this role is $18 - $33 per hour.
