We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. The Equipment Operator will collaborate closely with other team members to support project goals and maintain high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, and loaders, in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Assist in the construction estimating process by providing input on equipment needs and project timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Supervise crew members during operations to ensure adherence to safety protocols and efficient workflow.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, ProCore, and others for project management and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using tools such as an ohmmeter when necessary.
- Participate in budgeting discussions related to equipment operation costs.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Equipment Operator in a construction or industrial setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling methodologies.
- Experience supervising teams is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using industry-related software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, ProCore, etc.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
