Role Description
This is a contract role for a MongoDB Engineer, located on-site in Charlotte, NC. The MongoDB Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MongoDB-based applications. Day-to-day tasks will involve database administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and ensuring data security. The role also includes creating and maintaining documentation, as well as collaborating with development and operations teams to optimize database performance and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in MongoDB database design, administration, and optimization
- 4 years hands-on experience on designing data and database for systems using MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
- 3 years of experience working with microservices and orchestrating services to process high volume transactions running on Openshift, PCF or equalant.
- Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of data security best practices and implementation
- Familiarity with creating and maintaining documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively with development and operations teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with additional database technologies is a plus
