What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist (PRN) position at Atmore Community Hospital?
Phlebotomist PRN - on an as needed basis.
Performs all phlebotomy procedures according to laboratory requirements to provide the lab with suitable specimens for testing. Provides suitable specimens for laboratory testing by establishing positive patient identification, collecting and properly labeling blood samples for all age groups.
Provides a high quality of service for the patient and physician by performing and delivering routine and stat collections within established time frames.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Medical Assistant or completion of phlebotomy program.
1 year experience preferred.
BLS issued thru American Heart or American Red Cross
