Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Certified Industrial Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and controlling workplace environmental hazards to ensure the health and safety of employees. This role requires a strong understanding of occupational health principles, regulatory compliance, and effective communication skills to develop training programs and reports.
Duties
- Manage or lead the execution of various environmental consulting and remediation projects (e.g., environmental due diligence, brownfields, HAZMAT abatement, remediation, industrial hygiene, H&S, compliance services).
- Meet or exceed customer expectations throughout project lifecycle.
- Consult with clients and stakeholders interpreting corporate and business compliance oversight adhering to federal, state and local regulations as subject matter expert.
- Manage, mentor, and help grow the Environmental/IH staff.
- Develop and refine existing industrial hygiene programs and protocols to mitigate health hazards
- Support on business development and marketing efforts to Federal customers and private sector clients, utilizing past sales experience and responsibilities.
- Able to work independently or within a team group, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain relationships with Team Members, Client Representatives, and other Parties that convey trust, confidence, and respect.
- Collaborate on implementation strategies for reducing exposure risks, including appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and engineering controls)
- Demonstrate expertise in principles of risk management and familiarity of OSHA regulations and guidelines and the appropriate resources and instruments for evaluating effectiveness of controls in place.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong expertise in root cause analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation processes and regulations.
- Experience in training development for safety programs.
- Familiarity with EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent report writing skills for documentation of assessments and recommendations.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards relevant to industrial hygiene.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred.
- Awareness of EPA regulations affecting workplace environments.
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a badging process (valid ID, no criminal history) required. Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or similar field required.
- Minimum 8 years of environmental consulting experience and business development experience required.
- Preferred: CIH or CSP, Industry certifications or licensing (e.g., PE, PG, CIH)
- Excellent communication skills and desire to work with a multidisciplinary team including strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial hygiene principles and monitoring techniques.

Pay: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
