We are looking for a currently enrolled student to join our team specializing in IT/Marketing support systems maintenance and generation for our Cookeville, TN location. The PMO Intern assignment will assist with integration of PMO support systems, provide data analysis in special projects, and PMO administrative tasks as assigned.
This role is hybrid and there is a three day a week in-office requirement. This co-op is a minimum of 6 months with the possibility to be extended to 9 months, start date June 2025. Local candidates will be prioritized first.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Supports the lead Program Manager(s) with managing scope, schedule, resources, risk and issue mitigations of multiple complex new product introductions.
- Supporting SharePoint and/or Microsoft Applications.
- Manage the Training of Automotive Product Development (APD)/Automotive Product Change (APC) Forum.
- Manage the Number of Project Meetings for Quarterly Executive Score Card Review (ESCR) Slides.
- While also Identifying and suggesting possible improvements in procedures.
- Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team.
Responsibilities for Internal Candidates
- Serves as a resource on projects and work assignments; employs basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding.
- Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve project issues.
- Monitors and communicates project status to project team.
- Assists with budget planning and tracking, research, and analytical support; provides input into the design and development of project plans and timelines.
- Assists with managing project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk.
- Documents and shares team learnings with other teams; draws on other experiences to enhance the success of the project.
- Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with Project Manager on status of specific projects and assignments.
Qualifications for Internal Candidates
Education
- Currently enrolled for the 2025 academic year.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher preferred.
- Majors are somewhat flexible, examples may include Marketing, Business, Planning and Logistics, Manufacturing, Information Technology/System Engineering, etc.
Proficiencies
- Ability to work well independently and as a part of a high-performing team.
- Fundamental background of IT/Marketing.
- Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.
- Experience in SharePoint or Microsoft Applications.
- Professional presence and demeanor working with colleagues and management.
