Director of Business Development
Atom Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company focused on new drug development. We are currently seeking a qualified, highly motivated, experienced individual for the position of Director, Business Development. The position is an in-office position and reports to SVP, Business Development. The location is in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Search and evaluate potential partner companies for development and commercialization of existing and future Atom programs.
- Lead the proactive search and evaluation of prioritized areas of interest to Atom, assist in negotiation of high-impact collaborations, licensing opportunities, equity financing, and acquisition opportunities.
- Lead evaluation and make recommendations on potential deals, including obtaining approval for transactions from the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
- Oversee negotiation strategies with prospective partners, including creating collaboration structures aligned with scientific and business needs and making deal recommendations to key executive team stakeholders.
- Set, communicate, and drive implementation of the partnering strategy in collaboration with executive team stakeholders.
- Be an ambassador for Atom at external meetings, conferences, and seminars to access new opportunities and develop external networks.
- Ensure high-quality opportunity assessments and due diligence reviews.
- Accountable for the achievement of important goals that impact and contribute to the mission of Atom.
