What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary CNC Router Operator position at Atomic Design, Inc.?
Position Objective
Create CNC parts and pieces based on programmed files and drawings to meet client needs and ATOMIC standards for multiple ATOMIC Profit Centers.
The timeline for this temporary role is late February through mid-May.
Core Responsibilities
1. Monitor the CNC machine during operation for quality control and safety.
2. Label all pieces according to the drawing & organize on carting.
3. Maintain knowledge of all necessary software and tools needed to perform CNC operations.
4. Contribute to the development of a safety culture.
Organizational Relationships
- CNC Router Operator reports to the CNC Lead and works closely with Project Management, R&D & Shop Floor Leads.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Solid knowledge of shop tools, hardware, and supplies.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Understand and be able to use scale.
- Working knowledge of Scenic construction, rigging and theater terms and procedures is a plus.
- Ability to read drawings and ground plans is a plus.
Credentials & Experience
- 2 years of CNC experience in manufacturing or scenic industry is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Those necessary for general warehouse work.
Work Environment
- Typical manufacturing environment for most of the time with occasional offsite work at industry-based venues.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $18.50 - $25.50 per hour
