Archeologists and Architectural Historian
To perform the scope of work as outlined, they shall have the following qualifications:
Shall have Archeology (non-SOI) staff with A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field
At least 1 year experience in conducting archaeological fieldwork under supervision of a professional archaeologist
At least four months of supervised field and analytic experience in general North American archeology and demonstrated ability to carry research to completion.
Shall have Archeology (SOI) staff that meet the requirements of Secretary of Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards in Archaeology including: A Graduate degree in archeology, anthropology, or closely related field AND
At least one year of full-time professional experience or equivalent specialized training in archeological research, administration or management AND
At least four months of supervised field and analytic experience in general North American archeology.
Shall have at least 1 staff that meet the requirements of Secretary of Interior’s Professional Qualification Standards in Architectural History including: A Graduate degree in architectural history, art history, historic preservation, or closely related field, with coursework in American architectural history; OR A bachelor's degree in architectural history, art history, historic preservation or closely related field plus one of the following:
At least two years of full-time experience in research, writing, or teaching in American architectural history or restoration architecture with an academic institution, historical organization or agency, museum, or other professional institution; OR
Substantial contribution through research and publication to the body of scholarly knowledge in the field of American architectural history. If the qualification is submitted under this contribution, a sample is requested for review by the Cultural and Historic Resources Program.
It is also preferred, but not required, has staff with the following credentials: Experience with precontact archaeology of the Columbia Basin of eastern Washington.
Experience in human osteology.
Experience with historic archaeology of the American West.
Experience with Manhattan Project and Cold War periods.
Professional experience (or equivalent) preparing National Register of Historic Preservation evaluations and nominations.
Experience researching and preparing ethnographies.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $70.00 - $125.00 per hour
