This is a full-time, 100% remote position that will require 0-10% travel and the salary range is $110,000 - $130,000/year.
This position will support our portfolio of internal companies that span across different industries (including mortgage compliance to HR/bookkeeping), using different SaaS tools, and analyzing workflows to recommend enhancements for efficiency. However, the first year will be highly focused on our company: MQMR.

What You’ll Do
The Systems & Automation Director will lead a small systems team (3 FTE) focused on optimizing SaaS solutions to their fullest potential. This role includes:
- Oversee the systems team; provide training, mentorship, code review, and support.
- Analyze business processes and leverage tools such as Gemini/ChatGPT, HubSpot, ClickUp, and Zapier to build robust automations, integrations, and workflows that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Drive innovation by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into our processes to enhance efficiency, improve decision-making, and create scalable solutions. This includes identifying opportunities to leverage AI tools, developing automation workflows, and ensuring seamless adoption across teams.
- Provides technical support and guidance to resolve users’ internal system issues.
- Act as a liaison between systems and end users to translate business goals into efficient technical solutions.
- Stay at the forefront of innovation by researching, evaluating, and recommending new technologies that align with business goals and recommend enhancements to existing systems to drive productivity.
- Participate in systems work alongside the team, particularly in complex workflows, integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Manage vendor relationships, including overseeing contracts, leading negotiations, and handling renewals to ensure favorable terms, compliance, and alignment with company objectives.
- Demonstrate strengths including process analysis, technical troubleshooting, project leadership and communication skills.
- Work with a commitment to precision and a strong attention to detail.
- Complete day-to-day activities with a customer service approach.
- Other duties as assigned.
What will make you successful in this role (skills)
- 5 years of solid working experience as a developer, systems manager, applications manager, systems analyst, or other related position.
- 3 years of experience leading a systems team.
- Proficiency in SaaS tools, Hubspot, ClickUp and Zapier, preferred.
- Strong understanding of AI tools and embedding them into operational tasks.
- Strong understanding of Scrum software development principles. The ability to read, debug, and write code, a plus.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex technical projects.
- Ability to transform specific business goals related to growth and efficiency improvements into new system designs.
- Ability to analyze workflows and recommend enhancements to maximize efficiency.
- Bachelor’s/College degree holder and/or a certification in computer programming/related field.
- Strong business intelligence methodologies for workflow, productivity, and reliability improvements.
- Excellent English communication (verbal & written).
- Ability to understand and execute complex instructions.
- High professionalism and integrity.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and deadline adherence.
- Self-motivated, positive, resourceful, and dependable.
