Teardown Production Technician
WORKING HOURS: 5:30 AM – 3:30 PM Monday – Friday which includes 2 paid breaks and 1-hour lunch. No weekends!
Job Summary/Objective of Job:
The Teardown Technician is responsible for tearing down Heavy-Duty Transmissions and Differentials to prepare them for remanufacturing.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Remove all unnecessary Transmission and/or Differential parts such as bolts, airlines, air components, bearings and catastrophic failure gears.
- Fully disassemble Transmission and/or Differential units based on SOPs
- Take care of parts so they can be reused.
- Place parts neatly and organized so they can be easily washed.
- Hit Disassembly/Teardown daily goals.
- Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Transmission and/or Differential experience preferred.
- Proven experience with mechanical power tools: Proficient in the use of various mechanical power tools, including but not limited to drills, saws, grinders, and sanders.
- Mechanically inclined: Strong aptitude for mechanical tasks, with the ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical systems and machinery.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledgeable of safe work practices required in the department.
- Ability to remain goal-focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to coordinate/prioritize/organize.
